Shiba Inu Coin Holders Petition For A Robinhood Listing

Shiba Inu Coin “hodlers” have just initiated a campaign to get the meme coin on the popular trading app Robinhood.

The petition has over 50,000 signatures and expect that number to climb as the hype for Shiba Inu continues to be expressed by over 130,000 users on Reddit that are part of the SHIB Army community.

As of right now the coin is close to 70% down from its all time high mark of $0.000038.

Many holders are attracted to the coin due to the fact you can buy around a million coins for less then $10.

Experts believe that the high supply of the coin will cause the coin to not make it to the “moon” anytime soon but if the last two months have taught us anything sometimes the experts can be wrong just look at Doge coin.

Newsweek covered the story and had these details to share:

Enthusiasts of the Shiba Inu cryptocurrency token are continuing to sign a petition calling on trading platform Robinhood to adopt the meme coin.

The petition was created during the token’s rapid price rise around two weeks ago. The price has since plummeted, down just under 50 percent over the past seven days at the time of writing.

The petition, posted to Change.org by a user called Tristan Luke, had received more than 38,500 signatures at the time of writing.

It states that Dogecoin has “been a huge success for Robinhood” and suggests that Shibu Inu could have a similar effect.

Between May 7 and May 10 Shiba Inu saw a sudden surge in popularity, increasing in price from around $0.0000015 to $0.000038—an all-time high, according to CoinMarketCap data.

However, the token then crashed in price and is currently down more than 77 percent from its May 10 ceiling.

Experts have previously warned Newsweek about the price volatility of cryptocurrency, as well as the hype surrounding new tokens.

Rapper Meek Mill hopped on the Shiba Inu train and tweeted that he was interest in the coin.

Professional body builder Kai Greene who also has a large following  has also been enthusiastic about the coin too.

Currently Shiba Inu can only be exchanged on ShibaSwap, Kucoin, Probit Global, CoinDCX, WazirX, Binance, Crypto.com, CoinBene, Huobi, and OKEx.

If you have a Robinhood account yourself and you want Shiba Inu to be listed here’s a link to the petition: Shiba Inu Petition
